FAQs
Got questions? We've got answers!
1. How long is each ice-skating session?
Sessions are 45 minutes long and start on the hour. We advise arriving at least 20 minutes in advance to ensure you have enough time to prepare for your session. The session ends at the same time for everyone so don't be late otherwise, you'll have less time to enjoy being on the ice!
2. Can I bring my own skates?
Skaters are welcome to bring their own skates, noting this will not alter the price of your ticket. Speed Skates are not permitted on the ice, and organisers reserve the right not to allow a person to use their own skates if they decide that they are not suitable. We do not sharpen personal ice skates.
3. Is there assistance available for children?
Yes, we provide a number of fiberglass weighted penguins on the ice that are available on a first-come, first-served basis, for the price of €5. These skating aids are exclusively for children under the age of 10 and under 110cm in height. As there are a limited number of skate aids at each rink, we recommend arriving early to ensure availability, or booking online.
4. How to book?
We recommend that all sessions are pre-booked online to avoid disappointment and avoid queues on site during busy periods. Tickets may be booked on the day, subject to availability.
5. How do I get a refund?
Tickets are non-refundable, so please ensure you choose the correct ticket at the time of booking. Tickets can be gifted to another person, and you may reschedule your booking if requested at least 7 days in advance.
6. Age requirement for ice skating?
The minimum age for ice skating is 3 years old to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
7. Do you provide helmets for ice skaters?
Yes, we offer helmets for rent to all skaters to enhance safety on the ice.
8. Do you accept group bookings for ice skating?
Yes, we welcome group bookings and offer special rates for parties and events. Please contact us to arrange your group session.
9. Do you have insurance?
While On Ice prioritizes your comfort and safety, please note that ice skating carries an inherent risk of falls. Participation in skating is entirely at your own risk, and we are not liable for any injuries sustained while using the rink. Additionally, there is no insurance coverage for injuries that occur during ice skating.
WHAT TO WEAR
Dress for the chill, and you'll be ready to be ON ICE! We recommend:
Tip: For your safety, avoid long scarves or dangly accessories while skating.
Warm, layered clothing (think jumpers and coats)
Gloves to keep your hands cosy
Thick socks for extra comfort in your skates
Comfortable clothing you can move in

SKATE AIDS
For our little skaters (or big kids at heart!), we provide skate aids to help build confidence on the ice. These friendly penguins are the perfect companions for wobbly feet, making skating safe and fun for all ages.
Skate aids are available to hire online or on the day — subject to availability, and with priority to smaller kids.
